Aromatherapy is one of our patients’ favorite programs, and we understand why! A soothing steam bath gently releases natural oils from extracted from flowers, barks, leaves, roots or other plants parts into the air to increase pain relief, and mood enhancement, and cognitive function.
Our licensed therapists train extensively in myofascial release and medical treatment protocols. Gently manipulating muscles and connective tissue enhances mobility, increase flexibility, and often accelerates healing. At the same time, we work with licensed massage therapists who can visit you in the privacy of your room for additional care.
Guided imagery is a form of meditation that steers and encourages imagination for better relaxation and healing. Research shows the proper use of guided imagery can reduce blood pressure, lower cholesterol, and increase short-term immune cell response while reducing pain and anxiety. When using the technique, the mind follows an imagined sensory path and signals the body for healing. Our staff can also teach patients these meditative techniques to implement them into their daily life.
