CMS 5 Star Rated Facility

Fairmont CMS Star-01

Fairmont Care is an Overall 5 Star Rated facility as designated by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid services. Only the top ten percent of nursing facilities achieve a 5 Star Rating, making this distinction a coveted accomplishment. This rating system was created by CMS to assist consumers, their families, and caregivers to easily compare skilled nursing facilities and improve access to information. Ratings are based on scores for health inspections, staffing levels, and quality measures.

This rating system grew out of the Omnibus Reconciliation Act of 1987 (OBRA) and quality improvement campaigns such as the Advancing Excellence in America’s Nursing Homes (a coalition of consumers), health care providers, and nursing home professionals. The scoring system helps consumers compare facilities on equal footing. For more information on the 5 Star Rating system, please visit the website here.
